this equipment has 3 functions :

1) to measure temperature

2) to measure current

3) to measure solar radiation

EQUIPMENT 2 : DIELECTRIC SPECTROSCOPY TESTING

in yellow circle is High Voltage Unit

there are two common types of cable that have been use for UG cable which are PILC and XLPE... since the type already different, therefore the way to handle DS test also different..

what differentiate them is just ' High Voltage Unit '.... for XLPE cable, it require HVU in order for us to see the dependent voltage..as i explained before, water tree can only occur in XLPE cable...therefore the dependent voltage will help in determining the existence of water tree...
